With the frequent occurrence of gas poisoning incidents in petrochemical sewage treatment and other enterprises, soThe installation of gas detectors is an indispensable means of detection and prevention, which can avoid or reduce the occurrence of gas leakage poisoning as much as possible.
A chemical Co., Ltd. in a certain region mainly produces, develops and sells industrial methanol, industrial formaldehyde solution, industrial sodium methanol, concentrated nitric acid, industrial sodium nitrite, industrial sodium nitrate, liquid anhydrous ammonia, ammonium nitrate, sulfur, dilute nitric acid, potassium nitrate, etc., which will involve many combustible and toxic gases. It is necessary to standardize the use and installation of gas detectors at the requirements of the relevant departments.
Current situation:
The factory has installed some detectors before, but the number and location of installations are not standardized, and the existing status of detectors is also unstable, so it needs to be re-planned and installed according to the requirements.
Targeted solution:
Ammonia detector, carbon monoxide detector, hydrogen detector and other several, host alarm controllers (detectors and controllers are arranged in sub-areas), and then centralize the external connection of the customer's own PLC system (the diagram is as follows:)

Suggestion for the installation location of combustible and toxic gas detectors: (Reference standard literature: GBT 50493-2019 6.1.2)
1. When detecting combustible gases or toxic gases heavier than air, the installation height of the detector should be 0.3m away from the floor (or floor) 0.6m.
2. When detecting flammable gases or toxic gases lighter than air, the installation height of the detector should be within 2m above the release source.
3. When detecting flammable gases or toxic gases slightly heavier than air, the installation height of the detector should be 0.5 m to 1m below the release source.
4. When detecting flammable gases or toxic gases that are slightly lighter than air, the installation height of the detector is easy to be 0.5m~1m higher than the release source.
5. The installation height of the ambient oxygen detector should be 1.5 m to 2.0m from the floor or floor.
6. The linear flammable gas detector should be installed in a large open environment, and the length of its detection area should not be more than 100m.
7. The horizontal distance between the combustible gas detector and any release source within its coverage should not be greater than 10m.
8. The horizontal distance between the toxic gas detector and any release source within its coverage should not be more than 4m.
Customer feedback:
After changing to our detector, the state of operation for 3 years is very stable, and the customer is very satisfied with the use effect. This chemical factory has also used the detectors of several other manufacturers before, but in comparison, our detector is the most stable and effective.
