Calibration Method of Oxygen Detector

Publication Date:2023/11/17

Oxygen is the 1 gas in our life. Whether it is life or production, oxygen is indispensable. In the industrial field, oxygen is used as a combustion-supporting gas, but when the concentration of oxygen is too high and meets a fire source, there is a danger of explosion. Low oxygen concentration can also be harmful to the human body, so it is necessary to use an oxygen detector to detect the oxygen concentration in these fields. However, the accuracy of oxygen detector will decrease after long-term use, which requires regular calibration. So what is the calibration method of the oxygen detector? Let's follow Yiyuntian Electronic Xiaobian to see it!

Oxygen detector calibration method:

1. The oxygen detector should be calibrated in a stable environment to avoid the influence of temperature, humidity, air pressure and wind speed on the calibration results.

2.The oxygen detector is usually calibrated by standard gas sample comparison method, and the error shall not exceed the specified value of the verification regulation.

3. The standard gas flow rate into the instrument should be strictly in accordance with the instructions, because the gas flow rate is too large or too small will affect the detection results and lead to errors in the measurement data.

4. before using the instrument that has not been used for a long time, 3% standard gas needs to be introduced to catalytically activate the internal components, and then 1% standard gas needs to be introduced to calibrate. If the above steps are not followed, the error at each point will not be within the acceptable range, causing the calibration to fail.

5.When the oxygen detector is standardized, the standard gas hood that meets the inspection requirements shall be used. If the standard gas hood does not meet the inspection requirements, the inspection data may be unstable.

6. during the calibration process, the oxygen detector needs to observe the sound and light alarm signal of the instrument. if the incoming gas exceeds the standard, the sound and light alarm cannot be issued or the alarm intensity is low, it is unqualified.

The above calibration methods for the oxygen detector are shared here. Generally speaking, the oxygen detector needs to be calibrated regularly during use, so as to ensure that the instrument test results will not have errors.
