Precautions for the use of fixed gas detection alarm

Publication Date:2021/09/10

Fixed gas detection alarm can be widely used in the field of a variety of gas concentration 24 Hourly continuous on-line monitoring and temperature and humidity measurement. When combustible or toxic gases leak in the industrial environment and the gas alarm detects that the gas concentration reaches the critical point set by the explosion or poisoning alarm, the alarm will send out an alarm signal to remind the work to take safety measures, and drive the exhaust, cut-off and spray systems to prevent explosion, fire and poisoning accidents, thus ensuring safe production. Do you know what are the precautions for using fixed gas detection and alarm device ? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

Precautions for use of fixed gas detection and alarm device:

1. Any operation inside the fixed gas detection alarm must be performed by professionals. Prior to any operation, local regulations and field operating procedures must be followed.

2. The fixed gas detection alarm must be used in combination with a safety barrier that has been certified by the state and meets the intrinsic safety parameter requirements of the fixed gas detection alarm, otherwise the explosion-proof requirements cannot be met.

3. Replace the remote control battery only in non-hazardous areas. When replacing batteries, only two new batteries of the same type can be used.

4. Do not open the fixed gas detection alarm box or replace/install the sensor when the power is on.

5. The fixed gas detection alarm must be safely grounded to prevent electromagnetic interference. There is a grounding point outside the instrument to ensure that all shielding layers are reliably grounded at the star grounding point of the controller or the grounding point of the fixed gas detection and alarm device. However, both shall not be grounded at the same time, so as to avoid the formation of a ground loop, resulting in false alarm or damage to the instrument.

6. Some chemical substances will inhibit or even poison the catalytic combustion sensor and reduce its sensitivity, such as silicon-containing compounds, lead-containing compounds, hydrogen sulfide, etc. When using, avoid exposing the sensor or fixed gas detection alarm to these toxic gases.

7. When the sensor is used for a limited period, it should be safely disposed of from the perspective of environmental protection and in accordance with the requirements of local waste management and environmental regulations. In addition, the sensor can be safely packaged and then returned to our company, but the package must be clearly marked for environmental protection.

8. When the fixed gas detection alarm does not work for a long time, the power should be turned off and placed in a dry, dust-free and storage temperature environment.

To sum up, it is the precautions for the use of fixed gas detection and alarm devices. In order to ensure the use, usually check the cleanliness of the instrument, the instrument should be checked and maintained frequently, and if any problems are found, repair and replace parts. In addition, in order to ensure the accuracy of the fixed gas detection alarm, it is necessary to check and correct it frequently and reset it frequently.
