What are the installation requirements of ammonia gas detector?

Publication Date:2021/11/23

Although ammonia is the 1 toxic and harmful gas, it is widely used as raw material in production and life, which can bring a lot of convenience to people. In order to effectively ensure safety, we need to be equipped with an ammonia detector to continuously monitor the ammonia concentration on site for 24 hours and measure the temperature and humidity in the possible ammonia environment, so as to effectively detect the ammonia concentration value in the space. In order to better apply the ammonia detector, we also have requirements for its installation. What are the installation requirements for Ammonia Detector ? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

Ammonia detector installation requirements:

1. Installation distance

The source of gas leakage is the toluene detector in the equipment area arranged in the open air or semi-open air, the distance between the ammonia detector and the release source should meet the following requirements: when the detection point is located at the windward side of the minimum frequency wind direction of the release source, the distance between the ammonia detector and the release source should not be greater than 2m.When the detection point is located at the downwind side of the minimum frequency wind direction of the leakage source, the distance between the ammonia detector and the release source should be less than 1m. The ammonia release source is located in the closed or semi-closed plant, and the ammonia detector should not be more than 1m away from the release source.

2. Mounting height

ammonia lighter than air natural gas tester, the installation height of ammonia gas detector should be 0.5~2m higher than the release source. It should be installed in a place without shock, vibration and strong electromagnetic field interference, and there should be no less than 0.3m clearance around. The installation and wiring of the ammonia detector shall be in accordance with the requirements specified by the manufacturer, and shall comply with the relevant provisions on the installation and wiring of explosion-proof instruments.

3. Cable specifications used

the corresponding signal cable shall be shielded.

To sum up, it is the installation requirement of ammonia gas detector. Since ammonia is lighter than air, the installation height of the probe of the ammonia detector should be 0.5~2m higher than the release source, and it is suitable for installation in a place without impact, vibration and strong electromagnetic field interference, and there is a net air of not less than 0.3m around.
