What are the requirements for the installation specification of ammonia gas detector?

Publication Date:2022/09/26

Ammonia is the 1 toxic gas. In order to ensure the installation, it is necessary to install an ammonia detector in some occasions where ammonia may exist. Otherwise, in some production operations that can be exposed to ammonia, there is no ammonia detector to help us do a good job of safety protection, it will be very prone to occupational ammonia poisoning, which will have a certain impact on personal safety. However, the installation of the ammonia detector is not the 1 simple thing, it needs to meet the relevant installation specifications. Do you know what the Ammonia Detector installation specification requires? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

Instrument installation specification requirements:

1. Ammonia is lighter than air, and the installation height of the probe of the ammonia detector should be 0.5~2m higher than the release source.

2. The cable specifications used by the ammonia detector should be shielded from the corresponding signal cables, so as to effectively ensure safety.

3. The probe of the ammonia gas detector should be installed in a place without impact, vibration and strong electromagnetic field interference, and a clearance of not less than 0.3m should be left around.

4. The installation and wiring of the probe of the ammonia gas detector shall be carried out according to the requirements specified by the manufacturer, and shall comply with the relevant provisions on the installation and wiring of explosion-proof instruments.

5. The distance between the ammonia gas detector and the release source should meet the following regulations: when the detection point is located on the windward side of the low frequency wind direction of the release source, the distance between the ammonia detector and the release source should not be greater than 2m. When the detection point is located at the downwind side of the low frequency wind direction of the leakage source, the distance between the ammonia detector and the release source should be less than 1m. The ammonia release source is located in the closed or semi-closed plant, and the ammonia detector should not be more than 1m away from the release source.

To sum up, it is the installation specification requirements of ammonia gas detector. When it is detected that the concentration of ammonia in the environment reaches or exceeds the preset alarm value, the ammonia detector will send out sound and light and vibration alarm signals. Therefore, it can be widely used in various types of cold storage rooms, laboratories with ammonia, ammonia storage warehouses and other industrial places where ammonia is applied, which can effectively prevent poisoning and explosion accidents, and is an indispensable testing instrument and equipment to protect life and property.
