How many square meters should the combustible gas alarm be installed?
Publication Date:2022/11/17 I believe everyone knows that combustible gas alarm is mainly used to detect the concentration value of combustible and explosive gas in the regional environment. when the concentration of one or more combustible and explosive gases contacted by combustible gas alarm exceeds the standard, it will give sound and light alarm and link exhaust ventilation, spray system and other 1 gas detection instruments to automatically carry out emergency treatment for combustible gas leakage. In the process of installing combustible gas alarm, some places need to install more combustible gas alarm due to the large area. Do you know how many square meters of flammable gas alarms should be installed? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

In general, combustible gas alarms should be installed at least every 25 to 100 square meters, that is, the large distance between each combustible gas probe distance cannot exceed 5 to 10 meters.
According to the national standard "GB/T 50493-2019 Petrochemical Combustible Gas and Toxic Gas Detection and Alarm Design Standard", the design regulations for combustible and explosive gases are as follows:
1. For flammable and explosive gases that may leak in open spaces or open workshops, the range covered by the combustible gas probe should not be greater than 10m from any release source;
2. For flammable and explosive gases in enclosed places or semi-open workshops with poor local ventilation, the range covered by the combustible gas alarm should not be more than 5m from any release source;
3. The distance between the installation site of the combustible gas detector and the surrounding process pipeline or equipment shall not be less than 0.5m;
4. when combustible gas heavier than air is detected, the installation height of combustible gas alarm should be 0.3m ~ 0.6m away from the floor (or floor);
5. When combustible gas lighter than air is detected, the installation height of combustible gas alarm should be within 2.0m above the release source;
6. when combustible gas slightly heavier than air is detected, the installation height of combustible gas alarm should be 0.5m ~ 1.0m below the release source;
7. When combustible gas slightly lighter than air is detected, the installation height of combustible gas alarm should be 0.5m ~ 1.0m higher than the release source;
8. When the detected combustible gas lighter than air is in a closed place or a semi-open workshop with poor local ventilation, in addition to setting a combustible gas alarm above the release source, combustible gas alarms shall also be provided at locations prone to accumulation at the highest points of the plant floor.
regarding the question of how many square meters a combustible gas alarm should be installed, today yi yun tian xiaobian will introduce it to you. Generally speaking, the installation quantity of combustible gas alarm should be in accordance with the survey and design of the design institute. Of course, Yiyuntian technicians can also design combustible gas alarm in line with national standards for customers.
