How does the ozone detector measure the concentration of ozone?
Publication Date:2021/10/08 Ozone is 1 of the more common air pollutants. Although ozone comes and goes without a trace, its damage to human health still cannot be ignored. When the ozone concentration reaches 50ppb (parts per billion, 1ppb or one part per billion), people will begin to show symptoms of nasal mucosa and throat mucosa, and as the concentration rises, they will also show throat.
Pain, cough, headache, chest tightness and a series of symptoms. At higher ozone concentrations, lung function can be significantly affected, even leading to emphysema, impaired consciousness and death. Therefore, measuring the concentration of ozone has become an aspect that we are very concerned about. So how does the ozone detector measure the concentration of ozone? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:
how the ozone detector measures the ozone concentration:
1. Turn on the central air conditioner; make sure that the air duct is blowing into the clean space.
2. pass cooling water into the ozone generator, make sure that the ozone outlet has been introduced into the central air conditioning air supply or return air pipeline through the pipeline, and then turn on the ozone generator. the normal startup time is generally 1 hour.
3. the starting method of the ozone concentration detector is to press on/off for a long time (about 5 seconds), release it after it is displayed, and the warm-up time is 120 seconds. after the warm-up time, the ozone concentration in the air can be detected, the ozone concentration is displayed in digital form on the display panel of the detector. When the ozone concentration exceeds 20ppm, the ozone detector will alarm and flash, and the large range is 100ppm.
4. it is generally recommended to enter the clean area to detect the ozone concentration according to the time period. the ozone generator will be detected once after 30 minutes of operation, once after 60 minutes of operation, and once again after 90 minutes and 120 minutes if necessary, generally, the ozone concentration can be detected immediately after the ozone generator works for 30 minutes, and the normal working time is 1 hour. If the ozone concentration is not detected or is low, it is necessary to detect whether ozone is introduced into the pipeline or whether ozone leaks. If ozone leaks, it will lead to low ozone concentration. If the ozone concentration in the air is too high, the sterilization time can be controlled.
ozonation discoloration reagent is impregnated into a glass tube with inner diameter encapsulated on a carrier as a reactant to make a detection tube. during use, both ends of the detection tube are cut off, and an air extractor is connected to the gas outlet end of the detection tube to suck a quantitative amount of ozone gas. the ozone concentration is proportional to the discoloration length of the reactant column in the detection tube, the concentration value is read by the scale value.
In summary, the ozone detector measures the ozone concentration. If the ozone detector is not used for a long time (more than 1 week), let the instrument run for a period of time (more than 10 minutes) after starting up, enter the setting mode, and observe whether the zero point of the instrument is stable at about 0. If it is not zero or the drift is large, it needs to be returned 0.1 times (the oxygen detector is returned to the target point once).
