How to set the range of hydrogen detector?
Publication Date:2022/07/12 Hydrogen is the 1 flammable, explosive and volatile gas. It will explode when its concentration in the air reaches 40000ppm ~ 750000ppm. However, as an important industrial gas and special gas, hydrogen is widely used in petrochemical industry, electronic industry, metallurgical industry, food processing, float glass and so on. During use, it is necessary to operate carefully to avoid hydrogen leakage. Trace hydrogen leakage, people are difficult to find, so it is necessary to use the hydrogen detector to set the range to monitor the presence of hydrogen in the working environment, through the detection data to understand whether the hydrogen leakage, so as to prevent the occurrence of hydrogen leakage explosion fire accident. Then hydrogen detector how to set the measuring range? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

How to set the range of the hydrogen detector:
In ppm: 0 to 500ppm, 0 to 1000ppm, 0 to 2000ppm, 0 to 5000ppm.
In Vol: 0-20% Vol, 0-50% Vol, 0-100 Vol, 0-100 LEL.
at present, the optional range of conventional hydrogen detector includes 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000, 50000 and other range ranges. therefore, the range setting of hydrogen detector needs to be set according to the requirements of hydrogen environment. for example, in some high-temperature flammable environment, a large range needs to be selected, for relatively small low temperature combustible places, it is recommended to set the range setting of low range.
Therefore, in industrial production, the appropriate detection range is generally selected according to needs, and the hydrogen detector with the corresponding range range is selected. Otherwise, when the measured gas concentration range exceeds the range of the gas sensor, the service life of the gas sensor will be affected and the measurement data will be inaccurate. If you don't know much about the range setting of the hydrogen detector, you can also call Yiyuntian. We will recommend the appropriate range value of the hydrogen detector according to your specific application site.
