What are the precautions for the calibration of combustible gas alarm?
Publication Date:2023/01/06 In many industrial environments, if there is a possibility of flammable gas leakage, it is required to install a flammable gas alarm, so that when a flammable gas leakage is detected and the alarm value set by the alarm is reached, the flammable gas alarm will send out sound and light alarm signals to ensure safety. In the process of using, by checking the combustible gas alarm, we can ensure that its accuracy and applicability remain intact to a certain extent, so as to obtain better use effect. Do you know what precautions are in the calibration of combustible gas alarm ? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

Combustible Gas Alarm Calibration Note:
(1) In principle, the calibration of combustible gas alarm shall use standard sample gas that matches the tested gas with measurement certification. The same measured medium selected standard gas is different, the alarm point is also different.
(2) Before calibration of combustible gas alarm, the surrounding environment of the probe should be free of combustible gas. If there is combustible gas, remove the rain cover first, fill a certain amount of clean air, and then continuously introduce sample gas to ensure the accuracy of calibration.
(3) When the measured gas is a hydrocarbon mixture, isobutane should be selected as the sample gas, followed by propane.
(4) for non-hydrocarbon mixtures or hydrocarbon mixtures with a large difference in heat generated during combustion of gases with lower explosive limit concentration , when necessary, as the sample gas, easily available and stable single-component fuel such as butane, isobutane and propane can be used. At this point, the range of the combustible gas alarm must be adjusted according to a certain detection signal conversion relationship.
To sum up, it is the precautions for the calibration of combustible gas alarm. Of course, in addition to calibration, in the daily work process, we should also check the combustible gas alarm for waterproof, check whether there is an accidental water phenomenon, to ensure normal work, so as to improve the quality and efficiency of work.
