Why use a hydrogen alarm to detect the concentration of hydrogen?
Publication Date:2023/02/01 As we all know, hydrogen is the 1 flammable, explosive, colorless and odorless gas. Although we are not very common for hydrogen gas in our lives, it is inseparable from the use of hydrogen in many industrial production. When we use hydrogen in industrial production, we often need to be equipped with a hydrogen alarm. Do you know why you use the hydrogen alarm to detect the concentration of hydrogen? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

The reason why we want to detect the concentration of hydrogen, there are only two points:
The 1. is to detect its flammability and prevent non-explosive risks such as leakage. The explosion limit of hydrogen is 4.0~75.6%, we can use a catalytic combustion sensor or an infrared sensor to detect its flammability.
2. is to detect its specific concentration, which needs to be done in the analysis of some scientific experimental data. this is why we can use electrochemical sensors to detect its accurate concentration ppm.
therefore, we can effectively detect the concentration of hydrogen by using the hydrogen alarm to prevent the hydrogen concentration from exceeding the standard after hydrogen leakage. the hydrogen alarm is composed of a gas alarm controller and a hydrogen alarm. the controller can be placed in the duty room, the monitoring points are mainly controlled. The hydrogen alarm is installed at the location where the gas is easy to leak. The core component of the hydrogen alarm is the built-in gas sensor, which senses the concentration of hydrogen in the air.
The hydrogen alarm can convert the hydrogen concentration detected by the sensor into an electrical signal and transmit it to the controller through the cable. The higher the hydrogen concentration, the stronger the electrical signal. When the gas concentration reaches or exceeds the alarm point set by the hydrogen gas alarm controller, the gas alarm controller sends out an alarm signal and can start the solenoid valve, exhaust fan and other external equipment to automatically eliminate hidden dangers and prevent accidents.
To sum up, the main reason why we use the hydrogen alarm to detect the concentration of hydrogen is to better prevent accidents and avoid the occurrence of major safety hazards such as hydrogen explosion.
