What is the distance between the hydrogen detector and the release source?
Publication Date:2023/03/13 As we all know, hydrogen is 1 flammable, explosive, colorless and odorless gas. In the process of industrial production, if it is not operated properly, it may generate electric sparks and cause a major safety hazard of hydrogen explosion. And hydrogen leaks are difficult to detect, but hydrogen can easily explode when it encounters a fire source. Therefore, in the presence of hydrogen in the environment, but also need to configure the hydrogen alarm, to detect the concentration of hydrogen. However, in the process of installing the hydrogen detector, the distance of the release source is required. Do you know the distance between the hydrogen detector and the release source? The following is an introduction by Yi Yuntian:

The distance between the detector and the release source is as follows:
1. In general, when toxic gas is slightly lighter than air, the hydrogen detector detector is installed above the release source, and when toxic gas is slightly heavier than air, the detector is installed below the release source.
2. the gas release source is located in the equipment area arranged in the open air or semi-open air. when the detection point is located on the windward side of the small frequency wind direction of the release source, the distance between the probe of the hydrogen detector and the release source should not be greater than 2m.
3. when the detection (detection) point is located on the downwind side of the small frequency wind direction of the release source, the distance between the hydrogen detector probe and the release source should be less than 1m. The toxic gas release source is located in the closed or semi-closed plant, and the distance between the hydrogen detector probe and the release source should not be greater than 1m.
In summary, it is the distance between the hydrogen detector and the release source.Hydrogen detector is widely used in the industrial field. We can choose the appropriate distance between the hydrogen detector and the release source according to our own industrial needs. In this way, in the process of industrial production, only with the hydrogen detector can ammonia leakage be found in time, and timely protective measures should be taken to prevent poisoning accidents of operators.
