How should the combustible gas alarm be wired when installed?
Publication Date:2023/05/15 At present, with the gradual enhancement of people's safety awareness, there are mandatory requirements for the installation of combustible gas alarms in many places, especially in some public places, petroleum and petrochemical environments where combustible gases exist. Combustible gas alarms with composite explosion-proof specifications must be installed. And when we install the combustible gas alarm, we must make the correct wiring. Do you know how to wire the Combustible Gas Alarm during installation? The following is an introduction by Yiyuntian:

wiring steps:
1. When installing the combustible gas alarm, the sensor should be fixed downward.
2. It is suggested that the on-site routing of combustible gas alarm should be threaded through pipes, the pipes used should meet the fire protection requirements, and the pipes should be connected with probes to meet the fire protection requirements.
3. The combustible gas alarm should be wired in the case of power failure, and power on after making sure the wiring is correct. The probe shall be opened and debugged under the condition that there is no combustible gas leakage on site.
4. when combustible gas alarms are used for large-area gas detection, national standards should be followed, and the effective radius should be controlled at 7.5 meters. Or determine the installation quantity according to the leakage point.
5. The installation method of combustible gas alarm can be roof hoisting, wall installation or pipe holding installation. The installation shall be firm and reliable, and the maintenance and calibration shall be considered at the same time.
6. when wiring the combustible gas alarm, if it is a split connection, a three-core cable should be used. if there is signal interference, a shielded cable should be used. If the bus connection needs to use four-core cable, signal interference also need to use shielded cable.
7. when detecting gases with less specific gravity than air, such as hydrogen, natural gas and city gas, the installation height of combustible gas alarm shall be about 1 meter from the roof. When detecting liquefied petroleum gas and other gases with a specific gravity greater than air, the installation height of the combustible gas alarm shall be about 1.5~2 meters from the ground.
In summary, it is the wiring steps for the installation of the combustible gas alarm. The installation and wiring of the combustible gas alarm is very simple, and only ordinary operators are required to route, connect and test after power on.
