4. when detecting toxic gases (such as carbon monoxide) close to the molecular weight of air and easily mixed with air, the carbon monoxide detector should be installed within 1m above and below the release source. When toxic gas is slightly lighter than air, the detector is installed above the release source. When the toxic gas is slightly heavier than the air, the carbon monoxide detector is installed below the release source; the horizontal distance between the detector and the release source should not exceed 1m.
