What is the calibration specification of the oxygen detector?

Publication Date:2023/09/25

Under normal circumstances, the oxygen detector can be used to monitor the change of oxygen concentration in industrial sites in real time, and issue an alarm when it exceeds the preset range, reminding relevant personnel to take timely measures to prevent safety accidents. In the process of using, the accuracy of the oxygen detector will directly affect the reliability of the measurement results to a certain extent. Therefore, in order to ensure the accuracy of the oxygen detector, calibration is necessary. So do you know what the calibration specifications for oxygen detectors are? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

The calibration specifications for the oxygen detector are as follows:

1. Preparation for calibration:

Before the calibration of the oxygen detector, it is necessary to prepare equipment and substances such as zero gas, gas standard substance, flowmeter, four-way valve, gas pipeline, gas pressure reducing valve, etc.

2. Zero Calibration:

according to the instructions of the oxygen detector, first introduce about 99.999% high purity nitrogen gas into the instrument as the zero gas, and wait for the instrument to display a stable value. If the displayed value of the oxygen detector does not match the nominal value of the standard gas, calibration is required. The calibration method is to enter the calibration interface according to the instrument menu operation, select channel 1 and oxygen component, and then select the calibration zero point. Enter 0 and press the OK key to return to the calibration interface after the "SUCCESS" prompt appears. Press OK again to complete the zero calibration.

3. Range calibration:

After turning on the oxygen detector for 30 minutes, the oxygen detector is supplied with standard oxygen at about 20%, 50% and 80% of the full scale in turn. After waiting for the displayed value to be stable, compare the displayed value with the nominal value of the standard gas to see if it is within the error range. If it is within the error range, it does not need to be modified; if it is outside the error range, it needs to be modified. Select user calibration according to the menu key of the oxygen detector, enter the calibration interface, and select range calibration. Modify the displayed value by pressing the key to match the "Standard Gas Nominal Value", and press and hold the key to quickly modify it. After the modification, press the confirmation key to save the value and automatically enter the range calibration.

4. Calibration is complete:

After the oxygen detector is calibrated, pass in the zero gas again for verification to ensure that the calibration is correct. This process is repeated several times until the calibration value substantially matches the actual value. In general, the verification period of the oxygen detector is 1 year. During the two periodic tests, if the sensor is replaced or the detection data of the oxygen detector is doubtful, the calibration should be carried out again.

In summary, it is the calibration specification of the oxygen detector. In the actual calibration process, the user can determine the appropriate concentration range of the oxygen detector according to the range of their working conditions. However, it is worth noting that when the concentration zero and concentration range of the oxygen detector are determined, the readings outside this range will deviate greatly, and the concentration range should be adjusted to the required number when entering the oxygen detector.
