oxygen detector use should pay attention to what matters?
Publication Date:2022/07/05 Oxygen is the 1 simple substance formed by oxygen element, chemical formula O2. Although our life cannot be separated from oxygen, too high oxygen concentration will lead to oxygen poisoning. Therefore, in many industrial environments, in order to prevent excessive oxygen concentration, we need to use an oxygen detector to continuously detect the oxygen concentration on-line and on-site sound and light alarm, so as to play an early warning role in the safety of dangerous sites. So do you know what to consider when using oxygen detector ? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

Note the following when using the oxygen detector:
1. The oxygen detector is a built-in lithium battery. Please shut down in time after use to avoid unnecessary power loss.
2. Keep the surface of the oxygen detector clean and do not touch oil. Wring dry wet towel can be used to wipe the surface of the machine, it is strictly prohibited to use organic solvents.
3. It is strictly forbidden to exceed the ambient temperature of the oxygen detector to avoid damage to the machine.
4. It is strictly forbidden to use the oxygen detector in water or any solution, especially the sensor part, and it is forbidden to contact water or any solution. It is recommended to use an external sampling tube in a humid environment.
5. Properly keep the outer package, instructions and accompanying accessories of the oxygen detector for warranty.
6. It is strictly prohibited to zero or check the oxygen detector without permission, and it is strictly prohibited to open the machine shell without permission according to the use management regulations of the oxygen detector.
7. The surrounding environment of the oxygen detector requires good ventilation, and the measurement error caused by the imbalance of oxygen content in confined space should not be avoided.
8. Avoid flammable gases around the oxygen detector, which will seriously affect the accurate measurement of the oxygen detector.
To sum up, there are some things to pay attention to when using the oxygen detector. In addition, because the detection is operated at high temperature, if the gas to be tested contains H2, CO and CH4, the substance will react with oxygen, consume part of oxygen, reduce the oxygen concentration, and cause measurement error. Therefore, the oxygen detector should take this factor into account when measuring gases containing flammable substances to avoid measurement inaccuracies.
