How to determine the installation of combustible gas alarm on site?
Publication Date:2022/08/10 Combustible gas alarm is the gas leak detection alarm, which is the 1 preventive alarm in the regional safety monitor. When the combustible gas leaks in the industrial environment and the combustible gas alarm detects that the combustible gas concentration reaches the alarm value set by the alarm, the combustible gas alarm will send out sound and light alarm signals to remind the safety measures such as personnel evacuation, forced ventilation, shutdown of equipment, etc. So how can the site determine the installation of combustible gas alarm ? Let's take a look at it with Yiyun Tian Xiaobian!

Fix the installation of combustible gas alarm on site:
1. Determine the location of the leakage point of the combustible gas alarm on site, analyze the leakage pressure, direction and other factors of the leakage point, and mark the location distribution map of the gas detector for later installation.
2, according to the density of the leaking gas (greater than or less than air), combined with the air flow trend, so as to determine the downstream position to make the initial setting point scheme.
3. According to specific factors such as on-site airflow direction and wind direction, judge the flow direction of combustible gas when a large amount of gas leakage occurs.
4. Study whether the leakage state of the leakage point is micro-leakage or jet. If it is a micro leak, the installation position should be close to the leak point. In the case of a jet-like leak, move slightly away from the point of the leak. Based on these conditions, a final site plan is drawn up. Determine the number of gas detectors and the type of gas.
5. For media with leakage gas density less than air density, the alarm should be installed above the leakage point.
6. for places with large combustible gas leakage, a detection point shall be set at a distance of 10-20m according to relevant regulations. For unattended small and discontinuous pump room, it is necessary to pay attention to the possibility of combustible gas leakage. Generally, a combustible gas alarm should be installed at the lower air outlet.
7. For media with gas density greater than air, the detector should be installed on the lower plane below the leak point, and pay attention to the characteristics of the surrounding environment. Special attention should be paid to the setting of safety monitoring points for places where combustible gas is easy to accumulate.
8. For the open combustible gas diffusion and escape environment, if there is no good ventilation condition, it is easy to make the combustible gas content in the air close to or reach the lower explosive limit concentration in a certain part. These places are safety monitoring points that cannot be ignored.
the above information on how to determine the installation of combustible gas alarm on site is shared here. when combustible or toxic gas leaks in industrial environment, when the gas alarm detects that the gas concentration reaches the critical point set by explosion or poisoning alarm, combustible gas alarm will send out an alarm signal, to remind the work to take safety measures, and drive the exhaust, cut off, spray system, to prevent explosion, fire, poisoning accidents, so as to ensure safe production.
