What are the precautions for the application of ammonia alarm?
Publication Date:2022/10/18 At present, in the industrial gas leak detection and alarm device, ammonia alarm is the 1 gas detection and alarm device. When the ammonia alarm detects that the concentration of gas in the environment reaches or exceeds the preset alarm value, the alarm transmits the signal to the controller through the shielded cable, and the controller immediately sends out sound and light alarm, and at the same time can start the exhaust device or close the solenoid valve to cut off the gas source, to achieve the purpose of security. Do you know what to consider when applying Ammonia Alarm ? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:

Precautions when applying Ammonia Alarm are as follows:
(1) When the ammonia alarm is used, it is necessary to find out which some possible leakage points of the device to be monitored, analysis of their leakage pressure, direction and other factors, and draw the probe position distribution map, according to the severity of the leakage is divided into Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ three levels.
(2) According to the specific factors such as the airflow direction and wind direction of the place, judge the leakage direction of toxic gas when a large amount of leakage occurs.
(3) According to the density of the leaked gas (greater than or less than air), combined with the air flow trend, the three-dimensional flow trend chart of the leak is integrated, and the initial point setting scheme is made at the downstream position of its flow.
(4) Study whether the leakage state of the leakage point is micro-leakage or jet. If it is a slight leak, the location of the set point should be close to the leak point. In the case of a jet-like leak, move slightly away from the point of the leak. Based on these conditions, a final site plan is drawn up.In this way, the quantity and variety of purchases that need to be made can be estimated.
(5) For places with large toxic gas leakage, the ammonia alarm shall set up a detection point every 10-20m apart according to relevant regulations. For unattended small and discontinuous pump room, it is necessary to pay attention to the possibility of toxic gas leakage. Generally, a detector should be installed at the downwind.
(6) For places with hydrogen leaks, the detector of the ammonia alarm should be installed on the plane above the leak point.
(7) For media with gas density greater than air, the detector of the ammonia alarm should be installed on the lower plane below the leak point, and pay attention to the characteristics of the surrounding environment. Special attention should be paid to the setting of safety monitoring points for places prone to the accumulation of toxic gases.
(8) For the open toxic gas diffusion and escape environment, if there is no good ventilation conditions, it is easy to make the toxic gas content in the air of a certain part approach or reach the lower explosive limit concentration. These are safety monitoring points that cannot be ignored.
In summary, these are some precautions for the application of ammonia alarms.According to the analysis results of on-site accidents, more than half of them are caused by incorrect installation and calibration. Therefore, we can effectively reduce the occurrence of faults to a certain extent by understanding and being familiar with the precautions in the application of ammonia gas alarms.
