How to reasonably set the concentration alarm value of oxygen alarm?
Publication Date:2022/10/25 For human beings, oxygen is one of the basic conditions for maintaining life. Our breathing cannot be separated from oxygen. Various body functions also need oxygen to operate normally. However, oxygen is not the more the better, but It needs to be within a suitable range. Otherwise, too much or too little oxygen may have adverse consequences. Therefore, in the process of using the oxygen alarm, we need to set the concentration alarm value of the oxygen alarm reasonably. Do you know how to properly set the concentration alarm value of oxygen alarm ? The following is a brief introduction by yi yun Tian:
according to the national standard GB/T 50493-2019
The requirements in chapter 5.5 "measurement range and alarm value setting" in petrochemical combustible gas and toxic gas detection and alarm design standard are as follows:
1, the measurement range of ambient oxygen can be 0 ~ 25% VOL.
2. The setting value of ambient oxygen alarm should be 23.5 VOL, and the setting value of ambient oxygen alarm should be 19.5 VOL.
after all, the oxygen content suitable for human life is between 19.5 and 23.5. above this range, the oxygen content is too high, below this range, the oxygen content is too low, therefore, when the oxygen is less than 19.5 VOL, the oxygen alarm should give an alarm prompt. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the oxygen alarm concentration alarm value should be set between 19.5 vol and 23% vol, and alarms are required when it is lower than 19.5 vol and higher than 23%.
In summary, it is a reasonable method to set the concentration alarm value of the oxygen alarm. In the oxygen use place, we can configure the oxygen alarm to detect the oxygen concentration in real time. Oxygen is an essential gas for human breathing. Once its concentration is abnormal, it should be evacuated from the dangerous area immediately to avoid too low or too high oxygen concentration threatening human life.
